In remembrance of Eliana Grace Hoffman, we aspire to be the difference for families in need by supporting individuals and non-profit organizations with a focus on those that impact the congenital heart defect community.

The Ellie Effect supports non-profit organizations that had a special impact to Ellie's life and we honor her by giving back.

  • Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)

In celebration of Eliana’s birthday each year, we commit to assembling Care Bags that will then be delivered to CHOP’s Cardiac Unit to be handed out to patient’s parents/caregivers. These bags are geared towards parents/caregivers as we want them to know that they and their child are being thought of during their hospital stay. Items in those bags are donated by individuals or purchased from funds raised by The Ellie Effect.

We also support CHOP Cardiac patients by sponsoring a patient to attend their annual Heart Camp. It is a wonderful opportunity to help medically complex kids enjoy a week of summer camp.

  • American Red Cross

At least twice a year, we partner with the American Red Cross to hold community blood drives to collect life-saving blood donations for our local area.

  • The Children’s Heart Foundation

We promote awareness and raise funds for congenital heart defects by having a team participate in The Children’s Heart Foundation’s annual Philadelphia Congenital Heart Walk. All funds go directly to The Children’s Heart Foundation who are dedicated to funding the most promising congenital heart defect (CHD) research.

  • Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region

We support RMHC Philadelphia by donating snacks and toys to their Chestnut Street house and through the collection of aluminum tabs that are recycled for a monetary donation.
